I want to use 9219 to evaluate load cells.
The internal excitation for 9219 is not sufficient for my purposes, can this unit be used with an external excitation source?
If so is it as simple as using the external excitation voltage across the load cell bridge and measuring the output of the bridge on the 9219?
Max output would be around 20mV.
Or is there another product that might work better? I'm not married to the 9219.

Hi Axehandler,
Unfortunately external excitation is not available with the NI 9219. Take a look at the NI 9237 which can provide up to 10V of internal excitation as long as the power limit is not exceeded. It also allows for external excitation to be used via the connections at the base of the module. Below are a couple documents that help with the configuration. Hopefully this helps- let me know if you have any questions!

How Do I Configure a Load Cell in MAX with the NI 9237?

Thanks for the info i will have a look.
I assume there are drivers for LabView for these unit i can download?

The NI 9237 uses the DAQmx driver like the NI 9219.
