9401 DIO module Question

Hi, I have a couple questions regarding the 9401 DIO module, can you run multiple NIDAQ tasks at the same time on this hardware module? or are you limited to just single tasks because they share the same configuration?

The 9401 DIO modules claim they can be configured for 4 bits digital input and 4 bits digital output. Does this mean you can only do digital input or digital output but not both in the same task?

The NI-9401 is a parallel module and we also need to take into account the chassis that you are using.
