AT-MIO-16D-10 and AMUX-64T Help

I am new to NI and Labview but have used HPBasic and 3852 for previous data acquistion of temperature and voltage measurements.
I have inherited the NI AT-MIO-16DE-10 and the AMUX-64T. I am trying to use it to record data (temp and voltage/strain data).
I also have Labview (version 5.x) not sure what version, I also inherited that from the previous owner.
I have a desktop with WIN98.
Will the hardware and software work well together. I do not have any manuals or books on any of the above, so I am not sure how to get started.
Can anyone give me a few hints on how to hook up, install and start collecting basic data.
Any help would be appreciated. You are welcome to email me directly at jerryjernigan@hotmail.com.
Thank you - Jerry

The AT-MIO-16DE-10 and AMUX-64T can definitely be used with LabVIEW. You will need to make sure you have NI-DAQ installed on your computer to use the AT-MIO-16DE-10 with LabVIEW. If you have LabVIEW installed, you probably have NI-DAQ installed. If not, you can download NI-DAQ 6.9.3 from the link below.

You will connect your signals to the AMUX-64T and then read those signals using LabVIEW. There are a variety of shipping examples within LabVIEW that will give you a starting point with data acquisition. Open LabVIEW and select search examples and go to Data Acquisition (DAQ). Here you will find analog input examples for acquiring voltages and transducer measurement examples for acquiring voltages from tranducers and converting the voltage to a physical phenom
enon. That should get you started with the software.

With regards to to the hardware, I would suggest to take a look at the user manuals which I've linked below. I've also linked some documents and an example program that show how to reference the AMUX-64T within LabVIEW programs.
