ATMIO16X calibration

when calibrating atmio16x with mio calibration.vi should the eeprom location be set to 8 (atmio16x load area). I want the new calibration constants used when the board is initialized. Iam doing a ADC calibration. If I store to eeprom location 4, will this location load when the board is initialized. I have read the NI documentation but am not clear as to which location in eeprom to use.

Hello jlewis77 -

As long as you have the calibration input set to load calibration contants from the EEPROM location, you can store to EEPROM location 4.

Have you read this NI document? This document is very useful in discussing detailed calibration procedures for multifunction DAQ boards.

Please let me know if this works for you. If you are still having problems or are unclear, let me know and I will look further into the matter. Have a great day!

Thanks Becky,
Is there anything wrong with storing to 8, the ATMIO16X load area. If the application that acquires the data does not specify where to get the saved coefficients from (area 3, or 4, or ...) then it seems that 8 eight would be the place to store them. Is this correct.

In the MIO Calibrate VI, the EEPROM location input allows you choose where to save the coefficients. The reference location input tells where to get the saved coefficients from. Therefore, the EEPROM location and the reference location should match (i.e. area 2 and area 2). As 8 is not an available reference location, it is best to store to 1-4. I hope that helps clarify. Have a great day!
