Hello,
I have been trying to set-up my accelerometer with USB-6210 and haven't been getting changes in output as I moved the accelerometer.
This is the 2-axis accelerometer I've been using: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/accelerometer-ics/8197275/?searchTerm=AD22037Z&relevancy-data=636F3D32...
The accelerometer is supplied 5V directly from the DAQ and has 2 signal outputs (2-axis) to ports AI8 and AI1, differentiating wiht respect to AI1, in the attached set-up
I have been getting an output of approximately 4.9V and this does not change when there is a physical change in motion. Could anyone guide me into the right direction? I'd appreciate that 🙂
Thanks,
traindoor

Thanks Dennis for your reply.
I have uploaded a block diagram of the connections to the DAQ. This is a simple circuit without capacitors. In daq2.PNG, voltage_0 is dev1/ai0 and voltage_1 is dev1/ai8 (shown in connection.jpg).
At the moment, we are getting a little fluctuation between 4.94 and 4.96 and that does not change with the physical movement of the accelerometer.
Hopefully that's clearer

Well, RTFM .... you need to learn to read the datasheet 🙂
At least three caps are missing 😉
The decoupling/ buffer cap rigth at the power input should be .1µF or higher , for the others see datasheet "
