Balanced Differential Circuit Measurement

I can remember way back to Labview 5 that National had a great tutorial or white paper or knowledge base discussion on how to figure the resistance values when doing a differential circuit measurement.  I have a PXI-6230.  I cannot find that any where now.  Can anyone point me to a decent webpage discussion on calculating resisitors for differential measurements??
