The first step I would take if I encountered a system crash would be to search the NI Online Support system at http://www.ni.com/support/ to see if the issue is documented online. Next, I would see if update(s) are available for the software installed on your system (both NI and third-party) -- you can find the NI Software updates online at http://www.ni.com/downloads. If the issue is still not resolved, it is often helpful to isolate the issue by testing any software and hardware that you suspect is related to the crash in other systems. Finally, I would recommend collecting all of this information regarding your systems, the testing that you have conducted, how you reproduce the issue and send it to one of our Applications Engineers. They are
best equipped to help you solve an issue of this type. This is easily accomplished by visiting http://www.ni.com/support/ and then choose either Phone or E-Mail based support.
Another general suggestion is to be as detailed and verbose as possible when posting to the Developer Exchange. Increasing the detail level of you post often increases the likelihood that you will get a helpful response and reduces the overall turnaround time -- less time is spent going back and forth figuring out the missing details.
