Can DAQmx drivers (NI USB-6501) support Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Express edition?

Recently I got a lot of problems coding USB 6501 DAQ with Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Express edition. No syntax errors. But whenever I try to execute the code (e.g. createTask), Windows would return "Heap corruption" error message.

I found a thread in this forum: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=70&message.id=6383&requireLogin=False. The NI Apps engineer mentioned that "Using our DAQ devices with Express Editions of Microsoft products is not a supported feature of our DAQmx drivers". The message was posted almost a year ago. I'd like to know whether this is still true? Please help.

Thanks.
