Can I supply 5 VDC 1.2 ma power from SCC-FT01 / SC2345 / USB 6251combo?

I'd like to capture the signal of a voltage output sensor which needs a 5VDC 1.5ma power supply.  We have an SC2345 with SCC FT01 pass-through blocks attached to a USB 6251 DAQ, which we plug into a laptop running Labview.  Can the FT01 be used as a power supply in this situation, or should I be looking at a different SCC?

Hello Phil G,

Thank you for your interest in our signal conditioning products.

You shouldn't have a problem using your FT01 to supply 1.5 mA to your sensor.  Note however that the maximum channel current that can be provided by the USB-6251 unassisted is 5 mA, so if you needed to provide more current than that you may want to look at the SCC-AO10 for additional current drive.
