To install, you simply need to ask somebody with admin rights, e.g. IT.

Not going to happen! IT says NO to installation. It is a security risk.

Still need a pdf version.

Currently, the DAQExpress manual is only offered online or in the Help Viewer format for offline. We've noted the feedback in regards to the Help Viewer, including installation and security concerns, and are exploring options to better provide offline options, like using the PDF format.  I would like to note that although not in this case, many other manuals are available in PDF formats, and we are also exploring the best options to link to them from the online manuals.

As you can't use the offline HTML help, and since there are no PDFs, isn't there an online HTML manual?

The online manual for DAQExpress 2.0 that the OP referenced can be found here: http://www.ni.com/documentation/en/daqexpress/2.0/manual/manual-overview/ and you can use the version selector to change versions, or use this to always to get to the latest: http://www.ni.com/documentation/en/daqexpress/latest/manual/manual-overview/ .  You can navigate using the table of contents found on the left side and the links within the content.  You can also search within just this manual by using the search box found next to the 'Search Manual' button.
