Hai!
this is gokul. currently am doing my final year project on amperometric sensors. just now i bought NI DAQ 9207. i went through the perating instructions manual. in that i have found that, you need to connect external power supply if you want to give the current input. my sensor output is of just two pins Output and COM and output is in microamps oly. i wanted to know.. is there any possibility to connect the sensor and give the current input without connecting external power supply?? someone please help me out with it. thanks in advance

You need to add some signal conditioning circuit because your signal seems to be very low you need to convert that into mA range.

thank you for your reply. i thought of using transimpedance circuit and V to I converter inorder to effectively increase the gain. but my doubt is wheather we can give the curent input to the DAQ NI 9207 without the power supply? can you please help me with it?

Yes you can give current inputs in the range of +/- 21.5mA as mentioned here. Why do you need a power supply?
