Constant Voltage on Analog Inputs for BNC-2120

I keep getting a constant voltage of 5V on my analog inputs 1-8 even when I connect a sine wave of 10Vpp on it. I dont know whats wrong. Is it busted?
Or am I doing something wrong.

I test it by basically putting a DAQassistant to read one voltage terminal say (AI0) and put it in a while loop. Then I just connect the sine wave to the input and all that results is a flat line of 5V.
Thanks for your help

Hi Shah,

There could be a couple of reasons you're seeing a constant 5V.  Fiirst, which DAQ card do you have the BNC-2120 connected two?  Have you verifed that the card will accept a 10Vpp signal?  Have you tried verifying the input using Test Panels in Measurement and Automation Explorer?  This can be done by going to Start » Programs » National Instruments » Measurement and Automation.   Once inside the application, click under the Device and Interfaces » NI-DAQmx devices and find your device.  Right-click on it and select test panels.  This should allow you to verify the analog input to verify whether you see a sinewave or 5V's.  In addition, I would also suggest seeing if you have another way to verify that your sine wave is indeed correct.  Have you tried outputting one from the analog out and wiring it directly back into the analog input for verification?

Regards,
Paul C.
