I need to control a frequency variator from labview.
The variator requires 20V in order to be started up.
Card pci-6221 has a maximum output voltage of 5V.
I need a rele to do this.
The ideal would be to configure the programmable output to a rele output.
Can this be done?
If not what alternative do i have?
Thanks.

I can't see your answer.
Thanks.

Neither do I.
My answer was that you can use the digital IOs of the card to control a relay but you will have to check if the current the card can supply is enough for the relay.

We tried that but it didn't work. It needed more power than the card could produce.
Thanks.

According the manual the Digital Output can drive 24mA. Here is for example a Reed Relais which just needs 10mA with 5V to Switch 200V with 10W.
