DAC-1200 won't go from diff I/P to single ended, why?

I have a DAQ 1200 PCMCIA card that will not go out of differential analog input mode to single ended input mode.  It appears that it is changed in the device setup area, but it does not change.  Why?  Hardware problem?

Are you trying to use different input modes on different channels of this device? All the analog input channels on the NI DAQCard-1200 must have the same input mode, so you can only select the default input mode for your Virtual Channels.
