DAQ Express VI corrupt?

Hi,

I had Labview bomb out on with an error saying that the "DAQ Device maybe be running a Traditional Daq VI or performing a reset". I don't think either was the case but who knows! It now happens everytime I run my program. The Daq self test ok

I can access the DAQ Express VI but when "OK" it instead of rebuilding it just sits trying to " Verify VI" , which it doesn't seem to stop doing ... have left it for an hour now!! ; ).....

Have I corrupted the express VI? Can I just reinstall this on its own? Or should I just reinstall Labview?

I am running a 6218 daq on XP. Have tried cycling all the powers and reinstalling DAQ device with no joy.

Thanks again!!

Hi Dan,

I would suggest a re-install of NI-DAQmx, as it sounds like something has become corrupted in the install, I've seen this issue before, and I believe that this has worked for me in the past to fix it.

You should be able to uninstall NI-DAQmx from the Windows Add/Remove Programs utility, it will be listed under the 'National Instruments Software' section.

Take the hardware out of the system - uninstall this, then I would install the latest NI-DAQmx driver, which is 8.3.1, available from the following location:

Once you've done this, shut down, and re-install the hardware.

Hopefully this will sort it out for you.

Let me know if this doesn't work
