I have a USB-6351 Multifunctional DAQ. It would give me a reading for both voltage and Current even when the channels are not connected to any external sources. Is there any way I can overcome this.

I would suggest connecting your analog inputs to ground. What type of measurement are you performing according to the link I'm providing? ( https://www.ni.com/en/shop/data-acquisition/measurement-fundamentals/field-wiring-and-noise-consider... )
