Hello!
I need a data acquisition board.
At the output of my device voltage 5V and-5V. Exposure to a single channel.
I need to get a diagram as shown.
Can it be done oscilloscope How to determine the period and frequency of the pulse?

Looked modules: NI PXIe-6341, NI PXIe-6356, NI PXIe-shzshsh.I am wondering how to measure the voltage of these modules. As I understand it, these modules differential analog inputs. The time resolution of 10 ns at the analog inputs.At the output of my device voltage +5 and -5 volts. Exit - this one wire.How do I connect this wire? In what channel? In AI positive or negative?So do I need to measure my pulse repetition frequency voltages (+5 and -5). The frequency of 100kHz to 10MHz.This is a new concept for me, sorry for the simple questions. I really need help and expert advice. Please help.

Hi there,

 

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but you are looking for hardware that can generate and acquire the signal you described above? It seems that you are interested in the PXIe platform so you can check this card but NI also offers data acquisition hardware in different from factors.

 

For future reference, I would like to share valuable reference to get you started (see this link). Plus, check this article and this knowledge base for information regarding the generation of the signal described above. The Duty Cycle and Frequency nodes can also work for measuring.

Hello! I'll try to explain:I have a device. The output of this device I have +5 V and -5 volts. This voltage is coming out with one channel of my device.Now I need to collect these data to determine the voltage and the frequency with which I have the voltage changes.Let's say 5 volts - is a logical "1" -5 volts - is a logical "0". Frequency of "0" and "1" from 1kHz to 10 MHz (in the future to 50MHz).I need to build a waveform(example attached).

 

Once again, I need to collect the voltage of -5 to 5 volts. I collect them and build waveform, which determines the frequency at which these impulses and enjoy life;)f the NI PXI-6250 allows you to do that, how to connect my device to it?

I have experience working with devices from NI(microwave devices).I have a 1075e chassis with hybrid and express slots.

An image is worth a thousand words...although my card can't generate the same frequency of your signal this can work as a good reference.

 

I used a counter to read the analog signal since most of the analog input channels are not capable of sampling at the speed you required. I simply opened two examples and did a small modification to the counter task (as mentioned in here).

 

For the wiring just route your signal to the counter's source terminal. This resumes all the information on the links I pointed earlier. I hope this answers your question.

Once again, I'll tell you what I want.I have attached a diagram (my plan). And some paramerty X Series device to PXI 6356.

The analog input has a time resolution of 10 ns. Does this mean that I can analyze signals with a period of 10 ns and more?

Just a question on the counter. As I understand it, the counter can count fronts, follow-up period, and so on.

This is true for the analog signal? Or is it only works with TTL and CMOS?

Which device do I choose to deal with my goals?

I think about NI PXI-6250 and NI PXIe-6356.

Which device has the highest speed to determine the frequency (period) follow? (For my signal)

You don't understand basic sampling theory. The analog input has a max sample rate of 1.25 Mhz. Nyquist says you need a sample rate at at least twice the input frequency. You simply cannot use the analog input to measure the frequency. Use the counter. If you need to measure the amplitude, also wire to the analog input.
