DAQ board detect

Salut,

I am in the process of upgrading my data acquisition workstation. I have 2 DAQ boards, the PC-1200+ and the AT-AO-6. I put the DAQ boards into my computer via ISA bus. The computer is running windows 2000, LabVIEW 4.0.1, and Ni-DAQ 6.7. Ni-DAQ 6.7 is the only version to support LabVIEW 4.0.1 and Windows 2000. When the boards are installed, the computer only detects the PC-1200 and not the AT-AO-6. The ni-daq 6.7 manual states that it supports both boards so I do not know why the computer does not detect AT-AO-6.

Any help will be appreciated.

Unlike the Lab-PC-1200, the AT-AO-6 is not a Plug-and-Play (PnP) device. Therefore, you need to explicitly add the AT-AO-6. Launch the "Add Hardware" control panel (Start->Control Panels->Add Hardware) and follow the instructions to do this.

Thanks for the reply 'gcs'.

I tried to add the hardware however I encountered another problem. I installed the device however when I tried to 'Test Resources' using Ni-DAQ, the device did not pass the test. I believe it has something to do with the Resources values I entered: I/O Range, Interrupt Request, DMA, etc. Since I do not have my manual for the AT-AO-6, I do not know the correct values for these setting. If anyone can help me, please reply back.

Thank you

The AT-AO-6 manual is available here. Chapter 2 discusses configuration. The settings of the DIP switches and jumpers must match the settings you specify.
