I don't know what protoboard you are referring to. Please provide a link.
Your question is also a bit confusing because you would interface to a module in a chassis and you have not provided any information on what exactly you are using. In general, if you provide some sort of physical interface to the connectors on the cDAQ module, you can use anything you want.
