DAQ nosie

Hi everyone,

I'm using myDAQ for photodiode detection. But not sure why there is a discontinuous baseline shown. below when the detector is off. I use the MAX to test the input signal.

Here is when the detector is on. But the discontinuous baseline still affects the signal.

Photodiodes, depending on the interface circuity mode of operation, can operate in photoconductive mode- that is they generate and output when exposed to light.

Looks like your signal is 50Hz which is a common powerline frequency.

Have you tried looking at the signal when the photodiode is in complete darkness?

Do you have any bias applied or signal conditioning circuitry between the photodiode and DAQ?

Hi,

Which hardware are you using to measure that signal?

How are you connecting that sensor to the input?
