DAQ system for both signal input and output simultaneously

As shown in the attached picture, we want to run the DAQ system for both signal input and output simultaneously. The inputs are multi-channel digital signals and the outputs are analog signals. There should be a template for this kind of application in LabView. But I do not know the name of it. It is really hard to find the right name of this template. So would you please kindly show me the possible template I can start with? If you have more information to share with us, that will be greatly appreciated.

Hey stan1860,

Being able to create a VI to do signal input and out simultaneously is possible using DAQmx in LabVIEW. If you go to Help>> Find Examples then go to Hardware Input and Output>> DAQmx>> Multi-Function then open the Multi-Function-Sync AI-AO.vi. This will show you how to configure two different DAQmx virtual channels and tasks to do AI and AO within the same VI. In your case, you would just configure one to do the digital signals as well if that is what you want to do. This example is also simultaneous which you may or may not need. Basically, you will just be creating two different DAQmx tasks within the VI and each one can be fully configured to do what you want.
