DAQCard-6715 not working in an Express Card slot.

I just bought a PCMCIA DAQCard-6715 to use in my laptop, and, much to my dismay, I found that my laptop has an EC slot rather than a PC slot.  I bought a StarTech.com adapter, and my PC still does not recognize the card.  OS is W7.  Latest DAQmx drivers.  My XP laptop with PC slot does recognize the card.

Any ideas?

Did you buy a used PCMCIA card? That slot type has been obsolete for several years. I didn't think NI sold those any more. If you did get it from NI, perhaps it could be exchanged. I've not heard a lot of good things about adapters. Maybe someone else knows of one that works.

Hi Michael,

According to the readme file of NI-DAQmx 9.6.1 (latest driver). This card is not supported in Windows 7.
