DNS Settings in MAX keep resetting

Good evening,

I am working with a cDAQ 9185 chassis that is set for static IP address. I can enter all of the fields except for DNS. When I put in the DNS address, it allows the address, but when I click save it resets to all 0's.

I am logged into the chassis in MAX and even tried it with the web configuration tool. I also tried unreserving the chassis and changing the setting then to no avail. 

If the DNS were not set could it cause delays in the acquisition from the chassis? We are not doing a timed acquisition, it is a 1 sample on demand every second. 

We take 60 seconds of data in a buffer and write that to a database. Have noticed that if the DNS is not set, it delays the write to the database to once every 3 minutes.

This has been resolved. I had the client default reset the 9185 chassis and tried again. The DNS settings are now saving, not sure what was going on. MAX is a strange beast sometimes.
