I have a NI-9215 4 ch dataloger in a USB-9162 carrier. Only used a couple of time a couple of years ago. I have NI DAQmx CD Version 8.0.1. Every time I try to launch anything it tells me it cannot find the LabView 7 runtime engine. The engineer I got this from said he installed nothing else and it worked when he bought it a couple of years ago.
Dont know much about NI stuff. What do I have? What do I need, to do some basic data logging?
Any help would be appreciated
ReidW

Hey ReidW,
Daqmx are the drivers required for communicating with your NI device. I would download and install the latest version of those drivers from: www.ni.com/drivers/ . This will also install a tool called Measurement and Automation Explorer which you can use to test your card and view the inputs of your card similar to an oscilloscope. If you want to do simple data logging you can use LabVIEW SignalExpress, the free version of this software will let you log data to disk as well as some other simple data processing tasks. Please post back if you have any additional questions.
