I am trying to read the value of a potentiometer using a 6036E DAQ Card. I have setup the VI correctly to read from the DAQ card (I know this as I currently have an Analogue Output working correctly) and then created a new channel to measure the voltage across the pot in a suitable range etc. My problem is that it's not working.
I currently have the wiper on the pot connected to AI0. One end of the pot is connected to the 5V breakout and the other is connected to AIGND. I don't see anything on the channel A0 except 0V. I have been using a multimeter to check the voltage between AI0 and AIGND and it is scaling as I turn the pot correctly so what am I doing wrong?
Do I need to use AI0 (positive) and AI8 (negative) instead? If someone could provide me with the correct way to wire this up I would be very grateful.
Thanks,
Russell
