Hello all,
I'd like to use my NI 6501 USB DAQ (a simple DAQ with 24 DIO) in order to generate a 16-bit pattern. Using the DAQ assistant, I'm allowed to select "1 sample (on demand)", "N samples" or "continous samples". But, unless I choose the first option, I get an error stating that I can choose only "1 sample (on demand)".
Is that an insurmountable limitation of the 6501?
Thanks

xdaf,
Found this statement in the docs for the 6501. 'All samples of the DI lines and updates of the DO lines are software-timed.' I would say that it will only operate in the '1 sample on demand' mode.

Darn, so I cannot reuse the same software I wrote for NI 6250...
Thanks for replying.
