Getting LabVIEW to recognize PMD-1208LS A/D converter

I am having trouble getting LabVIEW to recognize my PMD-1208 LS.  I have installed the Universal LabVIEW drivers and the latest DAQ software.

I have the PMD-1208HS, and I have noticed that I need to plug it into the USB port before I start LabVIEW. Then I can open or create a VI that will successfully communicate with it.

Use Instacal from MCC to configure the board first..

Then Restart Labview from there on.. This should work..

I can solve the same problem, please follow the instruction from MCC supervisor.

You will not find the PMD/USB-1208LS in NI MAX.  NI MAX detects NI brand
DAQ hardware.  MCC brand DAQ hardware has its own driver layers
(InstaCal and UL for LabVIEW).

You need to install InstaCal and configure the PMD/USB-1208LS in
InstaCal.  Also Install the UL for LabVIEW.  Both can be downloaded as
part of the MCC DAQ CD:
ftp://ftp.measurementcomputing.com/downloads/MCCDaqCD/  Then you can go
into LabVIEW and try the example programs that MCC installs (the
examples begin with the letter "x").
