Has anyone successfully used the SCB-68 with a analog side-scan sonar?

We are attempting to connect our analog Imagenex 855 Side-scan Sonar to a laptop running Hypack 4.3a Gold.  As per their recommendation, we purchased the DAQ Card-6024E, the SCB-68 block, and the SHC-68-68-EP cable to interface.  The sonar is not being triggered when connected and the software is running.  I'm thinking we may need something else.  Any one encountered this problem before?

Hi Chris-

I'm not familiar with the hardware you're using so I won't be able to offer many suggestions.  However, browsing through Hypack's site I wasn't able to verify that your Imagenex hardware is compatible with their software.  I would encourage you to contact them directly with any questions you might have in interfacing with your existing hardware.

One question you might want to ask them is which type of NI-DAQ driver does the software require?  You will need either Traditional NI-DAQ 7.4 or NI-DAQmx 7.5 to run your DAQcard-6024E.  Once your card is installed and recognized with the proper driver you won't need any additional configuration on the DAQcard side.

Hi Tom,

I contacted Hypack first, but they're still scratching their heads on this one.  We puchased and installed the exact NI hardware Hypack recommended to work with their software to interface with analog side-scans.
