Help choosing a product

I am looking for an A/D converter that satisfies the following specs:
1)At least 6000 samples/second rate
2) 0 to 5 Volts input range, one analog input channel
3)USB or PCMCIA interface
4)C/C++ programmatic interface callable from MS Visual C++ 6.0
5) Ability to stop data acquisition at ANY time without data loss (we know stop time with +-10 seconds precision)
6) Data acquisition stop is initiated via the mouse click on the GUI element of our application so the A/D software library should not disable user interface.
7)At the same time mouse movement should not affect data acquisition (time between successive data samples has to remain constant or very close to that)

One other product I was experimenting with would disable all
activity on the compueter during data acquisition (to ensure data collection integrity).
So it was impossible to stop it before it would collect the required number of data samples. Since this value was not known to us upfront, their solution was not acceptable. I hope that NI has a product without these limitations.

Maybe an A/D converter with on-borad memory might be useful?

Vadimrok,
1. All our boards can sample at 6 kS/sec or more.
2. All boards will operate at +/- 10 Volts. (Note: some boards also have a minimum voltage range)
3. USB: 6020E. PCMCIA: 6036E, 6062E, 6024E. FireWire (IEEE 1394): 6052E, 6070E.
4. All boards use NI-DAQ driver that can be used in MS Visual C++.
5/6. Not a problem with driver/board.
7. Based more on computer specs than driver or hardware.
