I am doing high frequency (250 kHz) analog voltage measurements of a photodiode module with NI-6143, around 1 volt, and I have some questions about the noise.
1- Does sampling at high frequency add noise due to a limiting electronic settling time, as described for example here ?
2- If yes, how does this "settling" noise evolve with the sampling rate and how does it depend on the output impedance of my module ?
3- If I understand well, and independently of the questions above, a ADC converter gives a value of the voltage averaged over an integrating time. What is the integrating time of NI-6143 and how does it depend on the sampling rate? Is it just the inverse ? Does it mean that at 250 kHz of sampling time the value of my voltage is averaged over 4 microseconds and at 1 kHz during 1 ms?
Thanks !
