Hi c19,
Was therer text to this question that failed to post? What I believe you are asking is how can you programmatically route a counter output signal to PFI2 using Traiditional DAQ for the DAQcard-AI-16XE-50. Is my understanding of your question correct?
The 10 Programmable Function Inputs (PFI) are connected to the signal routing multiplexer for each timing signal, and software can select one of the PFIs as the external source for a given timing signal. You can individually enable each of the PFI pins to output a specific internal timing signal, whether it is a timebase or a counter pulse train output.
One way to do this is to use the Route Signal VI in the configuration of your counter output task. The Signal Name input would be PFI2 and the Signal Source input would be GPCTR 0 Output if you are using Counter 1. If you are using another counter, the Signal Source is GPCTR n output and you will need to set the Singal Source Line Number input to the desired value of n.
I hope this explanation helps.
