I am having problems reading Analog inputs using a multifunctional card 6031E

But I can read Digital I/Os and DACOUTS. I am also able to measure using a multimeter the voltage across the analog input terminals, but nothing is present on the test panel, or when using a VI. I'm using an PXI Embedded Controller 8176. Any thoughts, thanks in advance.

Hello Wes,

It sounds like your not getting the analog signal that you expected in MAX and LabVIEW. You've taken the first step in making sure that the signal is actually present using a DMM. The next thing that I might suggest is to change the mode that the card is sampling in. You can check this by going to MAX. Under Devices and Interfaces right-click the 6031E card and select properties. Now select the AI tab and check the Mode text field. This selection depends on your application. You may want to select Nonreferenced Single Ended if it is not already selected or simply try all of the settings and see of this resolves the problem. You mentioned that nothing is present in test panel. Do you mean that it is reading zero constantly? Make sure to start in MAX and
get the problem resolved there. Once you have a reading in MAX it assures you that you have it configured correctly for LabVIEW to use.
