Identify PCI DAQ board

Hi,

I have a mystery NI DAQ board that I would like to identify so I can download the drivers and resurrect the system it is part of.  The only numbers I can find on the board are 94V-0 9906,and it interfaces via PCI.  Is there any way of identifying which board this is?  Looking at a specific chip?  Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Louis.

Hey Louis,

If you put the card in a PCI slot on a Windows machine you should be able to get the vendor and hardware IDs from Device Manager:

Can you post those numbers and/or a screenshot? Also, our boards come with a sticker with a barcode and a serial number - if you still have that we can identify it from the serial number. Also, if it is truly a NI DAQ device it will be programmed with Traditional NI-DAQ (for legacy devices) or DAQmx (for current devices) - you can always just try one.

Neith one of those numbers match up with anything that I can think of - are you sure it is an NI board?

Hope this helps,
Andrew S

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the help!  I feel extremely stupid, especially considering that I've wasted your time.  I made two mistakes in trying to ID this board.  One is that it's an ISA interface (yes, it's that old), and the other is that I subsequently found out it's not an NI board!  I just assumed it was, based on the numerous NI installation disks we have lying around the lab.  Oops!!!  I've managed to trace it down via the correct manufacturer.  Thanks again for the help, and really sorry for wasting your time.

Regards,

Louis.
