Interface NI-DAQ with virtual studio C++ 2008

Hi  I got some problem to use NI-DAQ PCI-6221 with virtual studio C++ 2008. I want to program such a signal by myself (i.e. not from the VC example) and send it to specific designed application board. so I'm using NI-DAQ PCI-6221 for interface the PC with my application board. The problem is when I program I cant find the convenient library to be included when I create new project? As example if I want to do simple program like Hello world, I have to include win32 then select the win32 console Application from the Template. But this scenario is not working if I want to use NI-DAQ? I don’t know what the suitable project type is and shall I design a template for this? Thank for your help 🙂

Hi Husso,

Could you confim for me if you have NI Measurement Stuidio 8.6 and the latest NI-DAQmx installed on your system? You should be able to create a NI-DAQmx project in VS 2008 when you create a New Project >> Measurement Studio >> NI DAQ Windows Application.

I'm in leave now and dont have access to my PC at work to check if I have installed the latest NI-DAQmx
