Hi SysAdminPA,
Thank you for posting on the National Instruments forums.
National Instruments does not sell an adapter that allows you to use a full profile PCI in a low profile slot. We also do not support PCI extenders since they usualy do not completely follow the PCI spec and therefore will cause errors with our DAQ devices.
If you must use a computer with a low profile slot, then the best option for you would be to get a USB DAQ device. The USB-6221 is a DAQ device that is similiar to the 1200 with 8 extra analog inputs.

I did some research, back around the time I posted my question in 2007, and I found a "Dual PCI Riser" (Dell P/N 310-8346), from Dell (it was for a Dell Optiplex 745DR). It's still available from Dell, for ~$35.
This adapter plugs into one of the slots in the case and lets you mount two PCI cards sideways. See the Dell website for more details.
However, as it turns out, for me it didn't work because there was a graphics card in the way on the motherboard. But it may work for you.

That might just work!!! I have the room as an AGP graphics card is not needed for the RT box.
Thanks for the lead.
