MAX 4.2.1.3001 Task Test Panel Button Missing

I just upgraded to LabView 8.2.1, along with the drivers, NI-DAQmx, MAX, etc., and now when I use MAX to view my existing tasks, they no longer have a "Test Panels" button.  They appear to now have an integrated test graph.  That is nice, but before I was able to press the "Test Panels" button, select a type of "Values" instead of a graph type, and this would allow me to see the raw values that each channel was returning.  What happend to this functionality in 8.2.1.3001?  I know that I can go to each individual channel and see its raw values, but that is not acceptable.  I need to see all of the values of each of my task channels together in one place, the same way I was before "upgrading" to the new MAX.  Am I missing something?

Thanks for listening!

Rick,

The new DAQ assistant with DAQmx, does not have a digital display for the channels and hence the task view in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) does not have it either. The tasks in MAX are meant only to test the working of your data I/O and view it. To further enhance the display capabilities, you could either use LabVIEW to create a VI, which is customizable to include the digital display.  If you do not want to use LabVIEW, you could also use LabVIEW SignalExpress and create a 1 Sample (On Demand) task.  You will now be able to see the digital display in the Data View Tab.  LabVIEW SignalExpress also has a lot more functionality.
You can submit a product suggestion to include the Digital Display on the Product Suggestion Center.

Hope all of this helps.
