MAX prevents MS Excel 2000 from starting

When MAX v4.7.4 is installed on my brand new Windows 7 32-bit laptop MS Excel 2000 cannot be opened?

I know that MS Excel 2000 is not what most people uses today, but my company does 😞

It is very reproducible. Uninstalling NI-DAQmx and MAX solves the problem. Somehow MAX is tempering with

a common DLL or so. The funny this is, that MS Word 2000 is working fine ?

Any ideas?

Is this still an issue you encounter?
Do you have the possibility to test this on another laptop with the same specifications, to see if it also fails there?

Please let me know, also if the issue is solved.

No, it is not solved. We have seen this on a new laptop with Windows 7 x86. On the other hand we can get it to work on other PC's.

We were hoping that others maybe also have seen this problem. If we and the Laptop it the only one I tend to believe that it is a specific problem on this PC. Our IT department will not install NI-DAQmx and MAX software, because they think it will break MS Excel 2000.

I don't know how to proceed.

Unfortunately we do not have the possibility to test the specific set-up.
I have done a check on the Microsoft site, and Office 2000 has not been supported since July 2009, so it can be hard to find out in which software the issue are.

You can keep this post open, and wait for others that coincidentially have the same setup, or the same issue.
