Hi!
I'm trying to use a NI USB-6008 data acquisition board on my computer.
I'm running Labview 8.5 on a computer with windows vista 64 bits OS.
I've later on installed NI-DAQ and everything seems to be fine, even when I connected the acquisition board to the computer. The problem arises when I open the Measurement and Automation Explorer which, the first time I run it, took a long time until the splash screen disapeared. Then, when I try to browse the Devices and Interfaces to configure the board, I get the erorr message: "MAX timed out while waiting on a driver". In this way I'm unable to see the board or using it in any program.
Any help to solve this issue is very welcome.
Thanks,
Sérgio

I installed DAQmx 8.5.9 (the one that came with the board). Measurement and Automation is version 4.6
I also noticed that when I run the Measurement and Automation explorer the first time in my windows session, the splash screen stays there for a long time and at the bottom right corner it says: "Updating device configuration".

Hi,
Can you try to repair or reinstall NI DAQmx 8.9.5 and MAX.
Thanks
