I have never done anything with PXI and this is the first time that I have got to build a test system for microcontroller, wherein I have to measure the output voltage level of several pins.
Have selected PXI-4071 multimeter in the "PXI build your own system". Since I have to measure the voltage level of several pins, I have to use a multiplexer in combination with the multimeter, so am thinking of using some DAQ device (which has got several analog & digital I/Os) to measure the analog voltage. Can I do so?

Yes, you can either use the DMM with a mux or a multi-function DAQ board. The DMM gives you current and resistance measurements as well as voltage. Also look at the voltage ranges you need to measure.
