My USB6210 does not work in continous, finite mode when I test it in test panel

I use my USB 6210 ( for the first time), I put it to test using test panel. It works normally in "on demand" mode, but it doesnot work in "finite or continuous mode". However, the test panel is suspended ( until I unplug the USB).
What is the problem ? I am also using  "SB6009", it works OK now with test panel.
Thanks

Hi,

I think we need a little more clarification on what exactly is happening. As I understand it your USB-6210 is working in on-demand mode but is not in any other mode when using test panels. Is it freezing the entire system? Giving bad data? Or simply freezing the test panel until you remove the device? When you remove the device are you disabling it or just unplugging the USB cable? Also which version of DAQmx are you using and on what platform? What type of operation are you preforming, Analog output or input? This problem could be corrected by a reinstall or repair of the driver, but more information is needed before we can get a clear picture of what exactly is happening.

Yes, it is freezing the test panel until I unplug its USB cable. I use it alone, without any physical connections, in analog input mode. I am using the newest DAQ (included with my USB). Is it clear ? Thanks

The most conclusive test would be to try this device on a different computer. If you see the same behavior I suggest contacting NI phone support to RMA your device. If it works on the new computer. Then there are a couple of things to try. First reinstall the latest device driver which for this device will be DAQmx 8.6. Second try a different USB port or if you are using a hub plug directly into the computer. I hope this helps please post back with the results.

I put it to test on a different computer. It is working well. How can I do with my own computer?   Is there something wrong with my computer or my USB 6210? On my computer I am using both USB6009 and USB6210.

If the device works properly on a different computer it could be either your installation of NI-DAQmx or perhaps a bad USB port.

First repair/uninstall the driver by going to Start>>Control Panel>> Add or Remove programs. Scroll down to National Instruments Software select Change/Remove this will pop up a window in which you will select NI-DAQmx x.x. You can try a repair which may work depending on what exactly has corrupted the driver. If this does not correct the error then remove the driver and download the latest device driver which for this device will be DAQmx 8.6.

Second try a different USB port or if you are using a hub plug directly into the computer. I hope this helps please post back with the results.
