NI 1456 CVS

For the NI 1456 CVS, which inputs/outputs are specifically powered by the Isolated Power input, and which are powered by the common output?

Is there any harm in hooking up the Isolated Power input if no other connections use it?

Hi KCNorthern,

I think the answers to your questions are best laid out in the NI CVS-1450 Series User Manual. The power connections are discussed on page 2-6:

"The terminals labeled Viso and Ciso provide the voltage and common-mode signal to power the isolated output circuitry."

The list of isolated inputs and outputs that this applies to can be found in Table 3-2 on page 3-3 of the same manual.

I hope this information is helpful! Let us know if you have additional questions.

hey I am using the cvs-1456 and I need to know how to access the digital input/output data. I tried do use the DAQ but its not supported in the LabVIEW 2011 which is the highest version compatible with the cvs-1456.

Thank you
