NI-5122 PFI DOCU?

I have a NI-PCI-5122 and found that the aux I/O connector has 2 inputs called PFI 0 and PFI 1, called "multipurpose digital timing and triggering lines". I have the feeling that these two inputs might be very usefull for me. Unfortunately there comes no user manual with the card, no user manual is available for download, and I found no other documentation about PFI ports.

Where do I get some infos about what PFI can do and how? Can I measure frequencies? can I measure duty cycles? Can I use them as trigger input? Which LabView VIs to access the PFI ports?

I am desperately looking for any links about PFI ports

many thanks for your help.

You are correct that the PFI lines are very useful. Most often they are used to import or export triggering or timing signals. For more information about how to use them, the High-Speed Digitizers help document would be useful. It describes how to use the NI-Scope driver software that works with the 5122 device.
