ok, thanks, that explains it. I started with the Base 2.00 for developing the application and then I installed 8.3 on top of it. I will do a clean install with only 8.3 another machine. Actually I called NI support but I don't think they understood the problem, I will email them instead with a reference to you.
When i plug USB-6008, it says "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing". But i already installed NI-DAQmx. version-8.3.
I solved this problem for myself a while ago my problem was the discs that were shipped with my NI06008 were out dated and had to go online and download the newest NI Measurement and Automation software and the Base drivers. I'm not sure what the other problems people are describing are caused by. If windows is saying it can't load the driver it could be your unit is defective or did you plug it in before installing everything? Also did you try manualy selecting the driver for the device instead of letting windows do it automaticaly?
