NI 9265 Module in an NI USB-9162 Carrier Connection Issues

Hello,

I am having recognizing my NI9265 4-ch 20mA Analog Output module when I connect it to a NI USB-9162 Hi-Speed USB Carrier.  The C Series Module Compatability Guide lists that the 9265 module can be used in the USB carrier, but when I connect I get a flashing green LED on the carrier and the device does not register in MAX.  I can replace this module with a 9211 thermocouple module and it registers OK.  Anyone have any ideas?

Hello,

I had a look at a C Series Module Support Document and it states that the NI 9265 is not supported in anything but the cDAQ 9172 or the cRIO chassis. What document were you viewing that specified that the 9265 was supported by the USB-9162 sleeve? If this is stated somewhere we need to make sure to fix that in the documentation. I'm sorry that this is not a compatible device. Do you have access to a cDAQ 9172 chassis? The document that I linked above has all the compatibilities for the C series modules.

Also, do you specifically need the current output module? or could you use the NI 9263 instead? This module is supported on the 9162 sleeve. Here is a link to the product page of the 9263.

Hi,

I am sorry I actually gave you some incorrect information earlier. I forgot that we did implement support for the 9265 in the 9162 sleeve in DAQmx 8.9. This also, could be an issue if you do not have DAQmx 8.9 installed. Here is a link to the download page for that driver. Do you have DAQmx 8.9?
