NI-DAQmx 8.8 installation error 1303

Solved!
Go to solution

I recently purchased NI USB 6211, which operates with NI-DAQmx 8.8 software.

I have LabView 7.1 installed in my PC which is  still compatible with NI-DAQmx 8.8.

Everytime when I try installing NI-DAQmx 8.8 , the following error message pops up,

NIDAQ_Error.JPG

However, the account I logged in with has administrator's privilege. But it was saying "access denied" when I tried to access the folder

mentioned from the error message. Please help me to fix this problem.

Hello,

I have found a Microsoft KB that may fix the problem, please attempt it on the problematic folder:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308421&sd=tech

Make sure to pay attention to:

(Note You must be logged on to the computer with an account that has administrative credentials. If you are running Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, you must start the computer in safe mode, and then log on with an account that has Administrative rights to have access to the Security tab.) Just press F8 when you are booting up and it is at the Bios splash screen to enter into Safemode.

Let us know if it works or not!

Thanks

Hi, Boiler.

Some potential solutions to this problem are:

  • Check again to ensure you are logged in as an Administrator
  • Disable file sharing for the installation directory folder, then add yourself as the administrator. To do this, right-click on the folder and select Sharing and Security, then on the Sharing tab choose Do not share this folder. Now select the Security tab and ensure that all Permissions for Administrators boxes are checked.
  • Disconnect your computer from any network(s).
  • Disable any virus protection software.
  • Disable any firewall(s).
  • Close all other active programs.

This information can be found in this Knowledgebase article.

Let me know if you need any more help.  I hope you're having a great day!
