Hi.
I would really appreciate any technical insight regarding my issue.
I have a NI-USB 6341 connected to an Analyzer via a windows 7 PC.
It intermittently disconnects and causing issue with my measurement.
Frequency of disconnection is unpredictable.
And the only way to get it connected is by restting power to the device.
One question, do i need to activate or register my device?
The system is standalone and is not permitted to be connected to the web.
Thanks in advance.

The phenomenon is not related to activation and register problem.
You don't have to do any registration to use the device.
Do you connect the device to your PC directly? Or via USB hub?
Do you supply enough power to the device? Is Your PC suspend mode?

Hi Emboar.
Thanks for clarifying the thing about registration/activation.
Regarding your question, yes it is directly connected to the PC USB port. (The PC is Lenze CS 5800 IPC.)
Power to the NI is supplied via power supply block that came with the device.
PC screensaver/power saving option is disabled. USB selective suspend is also disabled.
Is there any way check or any logs to tell me how frequent it connects/disconnects to the PC?

I find some free tool to monitor USB connect/disconnect status.
When you found the device was disconnected, was power LED turned on?

This could also have something to do with how Windows handles the USB power.
