Because this value is needed in the example .vi of this meas card.
Thank in advance,

Dear Stefan0012,
To which example you refer exactly?

The only example program in DAQmx 9.7.0f0 that comes up when you "Limit Results to Hardware" with the NI 9227 is Current - Continuous Input.vi. The "DAQmx Create Channel (AI-Current-Basic).vi" takes a recommended input called "external shunt resistor value". That's almost certainly what he asked about.
As it happens, the shunt resistor in this module is internal and so that input isn't necessary. Just set the "Shunt Resistor" selection to "Internal" on the front panel before running the example.

I have already set it to the "Internal" value as you mentioned and it works fine.
Thanks,
