I'm using NI 2012 version, also a new bird and would like to know which NIMAX version I should download and use?

I have no idea what a new bird is. Since you posted to the DAQ board, I am going to assume you actually need the DAQmx driver and the latest version is 9.8. Click the support link at the top of the page.
