Need to drive up to 7 pumps separately at 24V, 0.5A with a 4Hz square wave. What should I use?

I would need up to 7 separate channels for this so each pump can be driven independently. Can someone suggest what hardware to use to accomplish this?

You could use 7 digital outputs each driving a solid state relay rated for your voltage and current.  A wide variety of such devices are available especially if you are able to construct your own.  Search Digikey for example.  if you need to vary the frequency or duty cycle, the M and X series daq devices have hardware timed digital outputs.

I was hoping for an NI board so I wouldn't have to roll my own.

You could use the 9474, it needs an external 24V power supply and one of the cDAQ backplanes (e.g. 9171).
