New USB-6501 doesn't work with DAQmx Base examples

We use USB-6501 in our Photometer data recording system. We bought two more (Part NO: 192317B-01 s/n: 12042F1 and s/n: 12041A9). But they don’t work under DAQmx Base examples for Labview 7.1. The error is: “Device identifier is invalid”. They work very well under National Instruments Measurement & Automation Explorer. Where is problem?

vpash,

Do you have NI-DAQmx installed on your system as well? If so, your devices will automatically be upgraded to NI-DAQmx firmware (the ship with NI-DAQmx Base firmware), and thus not available for use with NI-DAQmx Base. If you would like to switch them back to the Base firmware, please follow the process outlined in this KnowledgeBase. Alternatively, you could upgrade your application from NI-DAQmx Base to NI-DAQmx Base.

Hope this helps,

Thank you for your reply Ryan,

After switching back to the NI-DAQmx Base firmware, USB-6501 works.
